His mentor for 20 years, Jeremiah Wright, said:
"We both know that if Senator Obama did not say what he said, he would never get elected. Politicians say what they say and do what they do based on electability, based on sound bites, based on polls… "
So perhaps Obama realizes that continuing to hit the productive on their heads with a club may be detrimental to his 2012 chances? He needed to do it last month to get elected; now he needs them more than those who elected him to get the economy on track. Or is it just wishful thinking to feel that O has actually changed his view on income and wealth redistribution?
Obama is all talk. The rich put him in power and he will NEVER raise their taxes. The rich own about 70% of the wealth in the US, so if just a fraction of their wealth was spread out to the poor, it would be spent and would help the economy. However, stealing from the rich may not be the best answer. Something needs to be done to close the gap from the wealthy to the poor. Obama can start by halting CEOs, who make hundreds of millions in pay, bonuses stock options, when those companies are going under. He will never do this because those companies got him elected. Obama is a great speaker with no substance. Very charismatic, but he won’t help the average Joe. I like the guy, but his actions do not support ANY evidence that he moving this country forward for the average working American. When Obama leaves office, we will be worse off…just watch. Good guy, bad president.
