The rich own about 70% of the wealth in the US, so if just a fraction of their wealth was spread out to the poor, it would be spent and would help the economy. However, stealing from the rich may not be the best answer. Something needs to be done to close the gap from the wealthy to the poor. Obama can start by halting CEOs, who make hundreds of millions in pay, bonuses stock options, when those companies are going under. He will never do this because those companies got him elected. Obama is a great speaker with no substance. Very charismatic, but he won't help the average Joe. I like the guy, but his actions do not support ANY evidence that he moving this country forward for the average working American. When Obama leaves office, we will be worse off...just watch.
